They are out to get me and make a conflict where there is none. I have nothing but respect and affection for my collegues. They ask, "What do you think of Magnus?" I say, Magnus is wonderful! He is kind all the way down to his bone marrow!" What does Expresssen say? "Melissa thinks that Magnus is too kind!"
They ask how we differ as jury members? I say that Magnus and I are musicians and maybe listen in another way than Thomas does. They say "Melissa sågar Thomas!"
It's all bullshit! And what is most distressing is that to sell an extra newspaper, another (female!!!) journalist has to paint the only woman in the group as a giant, difficult bitch! They should be ashamed of themselves! Equality is apparently a myth and when other women paint such a picture (where there is no catty story to tell) of other women, I start to seriously lose hope in our "modern" society and sisterhood as a whole!
Am so disappointed and hope that the readers are smart enough to recognise a slow newsday when they read it.
I have heard about this phenomenom, but seeing it up close now, it is uglier than I imagined!

Honey, don't think twice of it, anyone who's met you know you'd never say anything like it, and those who haven't met you still know that expressen has been going downhill for years and that they are desperate for readers. Just be the fabulous you that you've always been, and don't forget your fanbase is growing by the day! You're the buzz, and in a very positive way too - don't let anyone get to you! Man kan tycka att det är småsaker men titta bara på alla tävlingar i tv där tittarna röstar. Vilka blir kvar på slutet? Nästan alltid killarna, killbanden, manskören. Å vilka är det som röstar på dem? Kvinnorna! För att killarna är bättre? Nä, för att många av oss kvinnor ser på andra kvinnor som konkurrenter istället för förebilder.
Så länge vi tjejer jobbar emot varandra så kommer vi ingen vart med jämställdheten...
I just got SO MAD! That was really a piece of bad journalism from expressen (as usual). They have actually changed what you said, not just a little, but all. it's sick how some journalists can do that, don't they have any dignity and job pride?
You know you are really good. It is sad to see when people pick on somebody just because they want to sell som extra papers or can't stand that people like you are stronger than them and stand for your opinions. It's easier to pick on somebody than say what you yourself think.
